Stepping foot into the newly revamped State Building, at the corner of St George’s Terrace and Barrack Street, which now holds Como the Treasury, one can easily forget that one is actually in Perth. The interior of the newly revitalized Como The Treasury, stirs memories of being in those huge luxurious hotels in the US. Como the Treasury definitely holds something different for the people of Perth. Definitely far from the usual Perth hotel standards. Way more luxurious and very much liberating.
Of course, with each hotel, comes the wine and dine areas of the lounges, bars, cafes and restaurants. One of the more popular restaurants here would be the Petition Kitchen. Yet another restaurant that is definitely worth a mention is The Post. This restaurant is named after its original location within the State Buildings, the general post office. With a highly modern concept, the Post has a very interesting menu in offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The menu offers a really fine cuisine of various dishes and desserts, and also, a rather extensive wine list. My personal favourite would be the Shambala menu that is offered at the Post. The Como Shambala Wellness menu offers healthy yet very tasty cuisines. With a main purpose of cleansing the body, the Como Shambala Menu includes raw foods and only the finest and freshest ingredients are used.
