About a month ago, we were in Orlando, Florida. Once again, killing two birds with one stone, as they say. The Mister had a conference and I was just performing my usual task – to follow suit. Sometimes, I feel lucky that we get to somehow “mix business with pleasure”. Nevertheless, it ain’t an easy thing to do. Due to time constraints we face on these trips, we always return very exhausted but happy, contented and of course thankful.

Before we left, I was actually feeling a wee bit “lazy” only because I hate packing to travel! Once we touched down in Orlando, Florida, I was as excited as a kid. The Orlando airport portrays its various entertainment options really well. The sight of the Disney World, Magic Kingdom just made me almost went crazy, oh well, who doesn’t want to see Mickey? Brings me back to memories of my love affair with Mickey years back, only for me to realize, the love affair had always remained, concealed….

The roads of Orlando, Florida, has a “smell” of its own, mainly because it’s probably a rather swampy area surrounded by lakes. Nevertheless, great weather and wonderful surroundings and built-up areas. With unusual road names like, “Gingermil Boulevard”, “Papermill Boulevard”, “Heritage Boulevard”, “Whispering tree Avenue”, “Weatherbee Boulevard”, “Deerfield Boulevard” to name a few, Orlando, Florida has a character of its own. I couldn’t help but wonder what could have happened in those areas for them to be named as such – weird but interesting.

We had a fun-filled 5days, leaving for Toronto on Day 6. Some photos of Orlando Day 1 below….
